Grifulvin V (Griseofulvin)
Grifulvin V prescribed for treatment fungal infections of the skin, scalp, and nails (jock itch, athlete’s foot, barber’s itch). Grifulvin V just stopping the growth of fungi, but does not eliminate the cause of the disease.
First of all you should consult with your doctor. Generally it is recommended to take Grifulvin V orally(2 tablets with a meal and a teaspoon of vegetable oil) or to apply it locally on the skin. A period of treatment is determined by your doctor.
Patients with a certain blood disorder (porphyria), severe liver disease (liver failure), lupus and pregnant or lactating women shouldn’t take Grifulvin V. It is not recommended to drive, to take alcohol, to take sun baths, while you taking this medication.
In case if you think that you could be overdosed by Grifulvin you should call for medical help immediately.Symptoms of Grifulvin V overdose are following: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, numbness and tingling, and confusion.
